Questionnaire:

1. Do you have any problem with the transportation? 
2. What is the problem you usually faced on the transportation?
3. Do you feel expensive for the transportation fees you spent daily?
4. Do you have any suggestion to solve the problem?
5. How do you think if the school provides a free shutter bus?

Lim from AGD, SSH, Year 1

He answered “ Yes ” for the survey questions which brought transportation problem to him. The transportation problem that he faced was hard to get the bus in his living area and lack of buses especially morning. He felt the bus ticket prices were affordable. He suggested the road need to build wider to reduce traffic jam problem on the road. He also supports the idea of if schools provide a free shutter bus.

She answered “ Yes ” for the survey questions which brought transportation problem to her. The transportation problem that she faced was hard to get the bus at her living area and she felt that the “Metro” buses were getting less. She is satisfied with the transportation fees . She mentioned that all the drivers should maintain or follow the rules and regulation for safety driving to prevent any accident happened. She also supports the idea of if schools provide a free shutter bus liked The Curve and Mid Valley, she mentioned.

He answered “ Yes ” for the survey questions which brought transportation problem to him. The transportation problem that he had faced was hard to get the bus which caused him a trouble to rush for the schedule to avoid waiting for the next bus come (approximately 30 minutes for next bus). Besides, the bus sometimes didn’t depart directly yet waiting for people to full the whole bus. This problems had caused him impatient and sometime late for the class. He commented that the bus ticket prices should be reduce or offer student price for the student. He suggested the bus should not let the passenger to wait because some of them might rush for meeting, working or studying.

He felt it is more convenient to drive to college. By driving, he saves a lot of time to wait the arrival of public transportation while the petrol fees is fair for him. The problem he faced most of the time during driving is the public transportation driver ignored the road rules and caused traffic jam while fetching the passenger. He suggested that the bus stations should build on the wider road side or another road lane should be only special for public transportations.

He felt the transportation problem caused him very much trouble. He felt unprotected when taking public transportation because compact of people on the buses which provide a lot of chances of snatchers. He suggested having more buses and offering students price. He also suggested having free ride shutter buses which save our environment.

He felt nothing for the problem caused by transportation. He said the transportation is very convenient especially Rapid bus. The all transportations of Rapid can be access unlimited by a Rapid card. The Rapid bus always maintained the facilities in the best form to provide customer comfortable environment.

He felt inconvenient for the problem caused by transportation. He said that have to wait long time to get a KTM. For taxi, it is always danger and expensive. KTM is very bad in service, not punctual although it can travel outstation. LRT environment is quite nice and fast although it is quite expensive. The KTM should be replaced by MRT.

Analysis result after surveying

Based on the survey above, majority of the surveyors had not much problems with the financial problems on the transportation fees. Most of them are facing the problem of lack of buses in the specific time and not punctual. From here, the transport system problem had been highlighted and we should pay more concern on these problems. Mostly, the surveyors are supporting with the statement of ‘free shutter bus’ which is possible and workable.
